JARED LUCIER

Raised along the snowy coastline of New Hampshire, Jared Lucier is an Actor, Director, and Writer who has trailblazed a bold presence along the east coast beginning as early as first grade, when his passion for theatre was sparked by being cast as “Cat #6” in a children’s play entitled The Unity Tree. From this very first whimsical appearance on stage, Jared’s infatuation for bringing hilarity and charm to crowds has vigorously blossomed into great versatility and virtue. Intensely involved in band, choir, and theatre programs throughout his academic upbringing, Jared quickly rose in the ranks of his high school’s performing arts department, known by peers for his charisma, range of talent, and drive. Playing the lead role of “Austin” in a performance entitled The Other Room, he led his school’s team to state finals for the first time in six years, winning two All Star Company awards for Excellence in a Leading Role at the New Hampshire Educational Theatre Guild’s One Act Festival. However, eagerly seeking more opportunities to perform and network, Jared also ventured outside of the scholastic arena at an early age, appearing in countless productions under the direction of numerous companies and organizations around the seacoast by his graduation from Portsmouth High School. As a summer youth theatre camp counselor for Upside Arts, Jared has been lucky enough to pass along his fervor and enthusiasm for improv and performance onto the children of his own home community for the last five years in a row.
Southbound from his home roots in New England, Jared attended Hofstra University, receiving his BFA in Theatre Performance in 2019. His experience at Hofstra amplified his horizons to create, allowing him to hone in on his caliber and artistry as a performer, while also opening doors to more opportunities. Jared gained familiarity with show production during his college years, starring in his own production entitled Some Things You Need to Know Before the World Ends: A Final Evening With the Illuminati. Such experiences enriched Jared’s self-awareness for his specialty and niche as a performer, director, and artist. This deep knowledge of his own strong suits and ability not to take himself too seriously has more than frequently landed him in beloved zany roles of comic relief, where his ability to improvise and immerse himself in personas has allowed him to shine on stage. His appearance in a 2019 national tour of A Christmas Carol by Perseverance Productions offered Jared his largest opportunity yet to encounter and inspire crowds all across the country with his love for acting and theatre, and ultimately exhilarated him to make his own cross country journey - relocating again from his home state to Los Angeles, California, and bringing his comedy career from the east coast to the west.
